classification

1. From the pulp. Special paper pulp has higher quality requirements, most of which are pure wood pulp, with more long fibers, and some also contain cotton. After the paper pulp is made, it has good strength and toughness, good stiffness and elasticity, and bright color. The pulp of ordinary paper is equipped with a certain proportion of non wood fibers, so the paper is easy to turn yellow, and generally needs to be coated.

2. From the perspective of dyeing, it can be divided into pulp dyeing and post dyeing: pulp dyeing is to add toner when making paper pulp, so that the color is evenly distributed in the paper fiber, the paper color is saturated and uniform, and the cross section is the same inside and outside. Post dyeing is to dye the pigment on the paper surface by soaking after the paper is formed. The color stability is inferior to that of paper pulp dyeing. It is easy to decolor when meeting water. When dark paper is folded, it is easy to have white edges, which will damage the overall effect.

3. From the perspective of embossing mode, it can be divided into pre embossing and post embossing: pre embossing refers to that when the pulp is not completely dehydrated, the paper fibers are distributed according to the natural texture of the felt, forming the special texture of the paper. The pre embossed paper texture transition is natural and delicate, and will not damage the paper fiber. After embossing, the finished paper passes through a carved steel roller and uses mechanical pressure to make the paper produce patterns. The advantages of post embossing are simple process, relatively low cost and convenience. However, this process is harmful to the paper fiber, so the quality of the base paper directly affects the quality of the finished paper after embossing. The rule of the rear embossing pattern is less changed, and it is slightly mechanical and rigid compared with the front embossing pattern.

4. From the perspective of use, it can be divided into economic art paper and collection art paper. Economical art paper is generally fiber velvet art paper, including reinforced rough paper, and fine grain and etching art paper. Collection grade art paper is generally soft cotton, smooth cotton and cold pressed art paper, refer to Hanemler art paper. Compared with velveteen art paper, it has more advantages in color expressiveness and texture clarity. For example, Fantec cold pressed art paper has rough and deep texture, no acid, no lignin, and 100% cotton paper base. It imitates traditional watercolor painting paper. The nature of white is widely used in museums, large exhibitions, temples and other special art works to copy, collect and use.
